aus Schottland:

Cragganmore: Complex Cragganmore’s reputation as perhaps the leading Speyside malt was quickly made after the legendary John Smith founded his distillery here in 1869. Mature and well balanced, with an astonishingly fragrant arome, the slight fruitiness on the palate is overlaid with sweet, smoky notes. Complexitiy married to such refinement is not easily found.

Lagavulin: Dark, intense Lagavulin (pronounced Laga-voolin after the Gaelic Laggan Mhouillin, “the hollow where the mill is”) comes from a whitewashed jumble of buildings by the sea on Islay’s (pronounced Eye-la) rocky southern shore. Founded in 1816, this is the great Isley malt. Pungent and potent, with richly peaty, deep smoky flavour, it has an intense, long, ambrosial finish.

Glenmorangie: The fragrance is light and delicate, floral rather than cereal, with perhaps mandarin and vanilla with a light smokiness. The well-balanced flavour carries traces of honeywood and nuts, whilst the aftertaste is clean and salving. This is a malt with an overall impression which is refined and fresh; a malt which will delight the novice while also remind the connoiseur of Glenmorangie’s heritage.
